"STOP" - In the Name of Jimi Hendrix (KR001-04)
Band "Stop" was established in 1978, and for the first 16 years it's members were as follows: Nikola Sarapa - founder & front man; guitar, Mladen Mastecak - bass guitar & vocal and Srecko Fadiga - drums. Within the first phase of their work, "Stop" has made one single and two albums with their own material. From 1982, the band focuses more on cover music, in particular hard-rock and 60's blues. The rock legend Jimi Hendrix, the unsurpassed guitarist of all times, is a key favorite of the group. >From that time they issued two cover albums, "Play rock and roll" in 1982, and a year later "Hey Jimi".
"Stop" gained two new members in 1994, Ivica Mikic - bass guitar and Zvonimir Cosic - vocal, while sadly loosing their dear friend Mladen Mastecak. In 1998 they produced a CD titled "Povratak ruku". Having met in 2003 with members of "Karma Records" (Zagreb, Croatia) "Stop" began a new, successful collaboration. The result is the album "In the name of Jimi Hendrix" completed in the studio of Croatian music producer Janko Mlinaric-Truli.
When Eric Burdon performed in Zagreb in summer of 2003, one of the support groups were "Stop". After that show, having been very impressed by their playing, Eric Burdon expressed his interest to have "Stop" as the support group on his next tour to Croatia.
With this album, "Stop" and "Karma Records" would like to contribute, in their own way, to be a part of the eternal flame burning on the Pantheon of "Gods" - where Jimi occupies a very special and unrivaled place.
